A book about a young girl with Asperger's Syndrome that really gives you insight into how she thinks and feels. This book will make you stop and think about how you interact with others and how differently each person views things that are said and done around them. It was a quick easy read about a difficult topic. Another must read in my opinion!
This was a book that was so good I couldn't wait to finish it, but I was sad when it ended. This book is about a young girl who has had some tough breaks and ends up going on an adventure that is exciting and scary because it is a matter of life and death. She makes some great friends along the way and begins to figure out where she belongs. A must read! This book is written from the perspective of a young girl writing about the year that she turned 11 and all of the important things that happened to her and her family during the course of that year. She talks about family, school, and relationships. It is a very engaging book that will make you laugh at times and want to cry at others. Most importantly it is "real" in the sense that it writes about the feelings and thoughts that your average kid might have without sugarcoating them. |
